PokerStrategy

They are giving away bankrolls to any new player who qualifies as an intelligent and educated Poker player. You will be walked through a set of articles that document a strict strategy for winning constantly in the type of game you prefer (cash game, sit and go, multi-table tournament). Then a test that includes a batch of questions pertaining to the articles that were suggested for you to read.

Once a player has passed the small test he will gain access to different services and promotions..

Starting capital / bankroll

The most interesting benefit of PokerStrategy‘s membership is for most the starting capital they give new players (if I remember correctly it’s in the range of 50$ to 150$). They will even transfer the funds across all of the most popular online Poker rooms.

Even if some players are not excited by the size of the bankroll PokerStrategy offers, most are solely joining their community to benefit from this promotion. It’s without a doubt the cause behind the their success and constant growth of their user base.

Guides of Poker strategies

It is probably the most valuable asset of PokerStrategy. They are unique in their form, unmatched by their quantity. Functional, applicable they succeed at teaching clear methods used to beat the game of Poker. They have elaborated practical strategies that work. Kudos to the brains behind that.

Begginers will be able to understand and apply their methods in real-money games by starting at the beggining of their guides while more advanced players will easily be able to tell at which point they want to start reading based on their previous knowledge of the game so the audience concerned is wider than the usual Poker articles you will find elsewhere.

I can only recommend the reading of their strategy guides. On an other note, I was not impressed by their Poker articles even though the information they contain is accurate there was not enough new ideas brought by their authors to make me a fan.

Educational Poker videos

They provide a good quantify of educational Poker videos which are almost entirely recorded online Poker sessions with a narrator explaining you why he plays the way he does and why you should be aware of everything included in his Poker knowledge.

It’s always positive to watch, analyze and learn about other player’s reasoning and desicion making reasons. However most videos are produced by only a few authors who did not make me feel so much “in good hands”. I will let you judge by yourself… Maybe it’s just me!

Referral program

online poker

Unfortunately I’m in no to review their referral program right now because I did not refer them any players so far. They advertise the possibility for earning up to 100$ for any user you refer them that plays Poker using their promotion

You’ve probably seen these offers surfing on Poker related blogs and they created a real buzz in the online Poker neighborhood. There is no official story on the site that launched the first “” program but it grew to become a popular and lucrative way for entrepreneurs seeking a little more dough.

Even though you can count on your hands the amount of players operating in this field the programs of services and information they are making readily available to their members is really impressive. More oven most membership is offered to anyone for no fee.

Online Poker communities

There are very few respected online Poker communities who provide truly valuable content. Two of them and to name them: CardRunners and STOXPOKER had a great impact on online Poker and gained their place in online Poker training and education. You should join them and find out a way of accessing their premium content because it’s pretty damn good (really) – they are affiliated with Full Tilt and you can access their content for no cost as long as you do play online Poker seriously.

CardRunners and STOXPOKER are big players in online educational Poker communities but they cannot be compared with the providers of “” offers; they are the leaders in online Poker education and fall in a different category.

Here’s a list of established free poker bankroll providers I have used and reviewed:

I will be writing new reviews and adding them to this list.

Check it out.

If you were the 6th best poker player in the world you would be pleased to play any table...
Until you sit at a table with the top 5 players.

Online, there are an abundance of sites that all have hundreads of cash-games, sit-n-gos and multi-table tournaments for any stake you will want to play. Most players are choosing their tables randomly but why pick the first table that has an empty seat?

You might be surprised to notice that a good game selection can easily double a player’s winnings. Sounds exaggerated? Find out for yourself! Most of the profits are made from fish and is easy to gain; Don’t sit at a table if it doesn’t look like an aquarium!

How can we find the best tables?

You can go with and which has been developed for that purpose and then scan the tables for the limit you wish to play.

Using you will be able to sort all tables using different criterias. For example you can list tables that have a majority of players with big stacks. This is vital because playing against short stacks destroys the implied odds of hands like pocket pairs. suited connectors and negates the effect of a LAG or semi LAG style. It also follows that if you consider yourself a winning player, you will want to sit on a table where there is more money to win.

Other options are available for free, as opposed to using & . Many poker sites are offering services but I recommend PokerTableRatings.com that is free, functional and that provides other reliable free services that I consider all very useful.

When you have a fresh list of tables along with their attributes (VPIP, PFR, AGG, etc.) you should avoid any table with an average VPIP of  less than30%. This would be a tight table generally.

After you have identified the juciest tables you will still be able to analyze them further more by looking at their player’s statistics if they are available to you. You want to sit at the table(s) that has most loose players with decent sized stacks in front of them.

Using waiting lists

It’s important to understand that a big waiting list means a considerable amount of different players will play at the table before you can sit at it yourself. Don’t hesitate to join a waiting list if there are only a few other players waiting before you but consider another player if more than 1/3 of the current players will be gone before you can join as this will affect the table stats.

Positional advantage and simple preferences

Avoid having any loose players on your direct left. They are going to be floating you without knowing it, meaning you are playing pots out of which is obviously not ideal or conducive to winning poker. You want these loose players to your right where you have on them and you can make them pay for playing pots out of with substandard hands and suboptimal decision making.

If I was offered a seat on a juicy table with a 60/5 with 1.5x buyin who would be on my direct left, I would probably turn it down and wait for a better seat. Unless the table was full of players like that, in which case I wouldd have to take it but generally I will reject the opportunity and wait to get on my target(s).

It is important to realise when a table has gone bad; when it’s time to find another one. If table VPIP has gone below 30%, that’s often a pretty good sign. Other factors may be if your main fish leaves the table and you are left with tight regulars. Just walk away and find somewhere better to play; Poker is a ruthless game, and you have to take the decisions which will benefit you the most.

Start selecting the tables at which you play, you will eventuall find your own tricks and preferences and come up with your very recipe but you will start to benefit from this strategy right away!

Good luck at the tables!

Poker is a ruthless game, and you have to take the decisions which will benefit you the most.
Know when to walk away and find a better spot to play.

Aug 30th, 2009 | By Juari Boskovich | Category: Bankroll Management

At some point in my adventure of living from playing Poker  I was constantly winning at the 3/6 No-Limit Hold’em level. However I was very inconsistent in 5/10 NL but I would often attempt to win a thousand a day and then cash it out for personal use.
